Cox Communications

Moved to Phoenix...officially. Two days before el move, my Jeep was dropped out of a semi-truck. Today is the first day we have our own freakin internet set up. Granted, the Ritz had a decent set-up...damn, I love that place. In addition to not having to use the internet at the current hotel, we finally have cable back with the life-saving DVR. I don't know how I lived without that thing for a week.

I'll speak of the Habenero Incident later....ahem.

ANYWHO...we're in the middle of painting the place. We're finally done with the orange bathrooms...tres retro with the b/w tile. Loving it.

My cell bill is 300 bucks this month, which me reminds me of the steep overages I had when I was in high school. Woops.

I had two interviews last week, and I will be covering the earh's surface with my resumes tomorrow once again. I found a niche within the professional theatre company here in AZ, and I'm going at it with full force. Wish me luck.

Duane's birthday was Sunday. We need to do a "re-do" in a desperate way. Long story short:

1. Andrea helps Duane with furniture assembly.
2. Duane's hand slips as he aggressively tightens a screw in the wood Andrea is holding steady.
3. Andrea's nose is punched by the rogue hand of Duane in an upward motion, a la "How to Kill Someone with Your Hand" in the Marine Corps guide book.
4. Andrea bleeds. A lot.

Oy

There are so many people I need to get back in touch with...even thinking about making all of those calls is overwhelming.

We're out of CO by Sunday...flying oot to Phoenix. Next weekend we're rockin Duane's b-day, then San Diego, and finally back to Colorado for a Misty Moment.

Good times.

Duane completely took me out tonight to The Broadmoor's Charles Court for dinner, and it was TO DIE FOR. Filet mignon? Yes. I'm still thinking about getting hitched there. I do love it so...the weather was freaking ridiculously perfect tonight. So romantic... we were right on the lake. The wine was exquisite.

We have SO MUCH to do tomorrow. The cars are being shipped out, and we need to pack el bags.

Good news: Austin is moving back to Phoenix! Sweetness.

Dodgers

The days are going by faster now...

The surveyor for the moving company came by this morning to check our house to get the low down on all the crap they will be packing for us on Friday. Sweetness.

Went out last night with Austin for Tikka and Stick It. A grand combo, indeed.

We're going to be in Denver tonight for the Dodgers game...fun times.

The Rockies are going to get slaughtered. Royally.

Enlightened

One of my most intriguing (he would never label himself as such) friends has started to write his book. THE book. And I'm telling you right now, its absolutely smashing. Its the kind of text that makes your eyes run over it fast and furious...as if it could disappear at any moment, and you would be lost without knowing the next word to follow.

Stuck

We're moving next weekend, and I'm wishing it was sooner. I need to throw away the bulk of my clothes, as downsizing is a must. Its an adventure that I've been dying to have. I love Colorado, but I've been keeping the wanderlust at bay for quite some time now...the right time.

The right time has arrived.
Jack Black's Clenched Buttocks

Can't sleep. I really need to get my butt on a regular schedule.

Duane fixed my tail light today, and damn was that sexy. I have no idea what it is about a man that can fix some shit on your car with greasy hands, but it is stinking with hotness.

PEACE, LOVE, UNDERSTANDING...what's wrong with it?

I have missed an epi of Top Chef, and I am left NOT KNOWING WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS.

I'm hoping it is sleep within the next hour or so...

Fine Print

We are officially moving to Phoenix on May 21st, and we have found a place to call home downtown.

The trip was successful...the drive was tolerable...the experience was great.

We had our palms read by a lady in Tempe (which is awesome...like Boulder with a desert twist!) , and she was RIGHT ON. This was the first time I had ever had someone read my palm, and what she said brought tears to my eyes. CRAZY.

Saw MI: III....wasn't BAD, but it wasn't great. We still have to see Flight 93.

We have less than two weeks to get OUT of here...packing? Uh yes.

Off to run errands.

Mon Cherie

Life is improving with the events of this week.

The Jeep is no longer a hazard, thanks to Duane getting me new tires. I am finally getting a new tail light this afternoon...and it feels glorious.

I'm off to snag a bite.
