Juice-a-holic

It may seem ridiclulous, but I find that compiling a shopping list for the week and executing the retrieval of grocer goods together is an entirely romantic adventure. Besides, going grocery shopping by yourself sucks.

Duane dropped mayo accidentally...a first...and it exploded onto the floor. I promptly yelled, "CLEAN UP ON AISLE 6, " therefore achieving a life-long goal.

I'm in a juice mode. Cherry & white grape = perfection.

I cleaned the house for 4 hours yesterday, but my work proved to bear fruit, therefore I am pleased. We still have a way to go before 5 guests move in very soon.

My skin is exploding. I have had flawless skin for the past 6 months, and now this. I need more product. DERMALOGICA = the best.

I feel like walking out of work right now. BOREDOM.

I hope I get that new job...that would bring back a glimmer of the lifestyle I once maintained while living in Denver.

Yay.

Back to playing "office."

The best time for the Dunes...

Friday...what did we do Friday? Ah yes. I drove over to Duane's place of employment, had lunch, and played on his computer while he did "worky" things to finish up the day. We also saw
"Stay Alive" in the evening, which was mildly entertaining, and was followed with a mutual "WHY DO WE KEEP WATCHING SCARY MOVIES?" type reaction. We're such wimps--> insert jacket over face.

Saturday we rose somewhat early, had some roll-age, and then Duane grabbed tickets for the Rockies opening day at Coor's field. After ticket nab-bage, Duane signed up for the indoor soccer league, and his first game was the same night. He played two games on Saturday night, and we left just before midnight into a FOGGY, FOGGY evening.

Coming from a family that isn't too hardcore into sports, it was a relatively new experience to support someone on the field. Next week's game I'll be the chick in the stands with a glittery "DUANE" poster.

ANYWHO...yesterday we watched Failure to Launch and did typical SUNDAY activities: bagels, newspaper read-age, etc. Sarah Jessica Parker is not pretty to look at, people.

Yikes.

There was enough fake tanner in that flick to turn a small clan of children into oompa loompas.

Andrea = British American

So today. Not especially exciting.

What does excite me is the possible relocation to England next year. Duane's citizenship will qualify me as a British citizen after we get hitched. Quite the wedding present, no?

Going to school in England = YES.

Write focused business memos.

V for Vendetta = EXCEPTIONAL. I would highly suggest seeing it for some true entertainment. Its the first film I've seen in months that has actually been worth the money.

Not okay

Getting to work this morning gave me a huge migraine. It snowed heavily two days ago. TWO.DAYS.AGO. There is still packed snow and ice on all the steets. I fish-tailed a half a dozen times getting to work, and this stresses me out BEYOND belief. I either need to live in a desert community, or somehwere where the public transport operates well-enough that I don't have to drive at all.

So. 10:07am. At work. Huge migraine. Want to leave.

I hope Duane can pick me up today...I really don't want to drive in this again...

A whirlwind weekend

We got an incredible amount of crapola done this weekend. Duane picked me up from work on Friday...this included an ill-fated last-minute plan to take swing lessons that just DIDN'T happen. Unscathed by this attempt, we headed up to the Royal Gorge for a small afternoon trip, and made future plans to once again return to take advantage of some great white water rafting. We were both bitten by the WWR bug from our first trips not too long ago, and are quite eager to return to the rapids.

Wedding planning is pretty much in full force more than a year to go until the big fiesta. Looking this early is proving to be wise, as every single venue is open for our date, and we have time to peruse each possible facility we could ever think of.

As we are both opposed to an overly traditional wedding, our seaches have taken us to quite an ecclectic assortment of venues. Needless to say, we are pulsing with ideas, and every time we go looking, we come back wiser and full of excitement. Let it be known: our wedding will kick some major butt, and you will NOT see another wedding like ours. Our ultimate goal is of course to have our wedding in our own signature style. My second *secret* goal is to be featured in The Knot magazine. I can assure you that both of these goals will be met.

As it is snowing in Colorado Springs, I am not in work this morning. I'm not sure I will be going in the afternoon, either. The roads are still icy and snowy, which is typical of the city. I don't *do* icy and snowy roads.

Oh! And I was nearly struck by lightning yesterday...not a joke. The crack happened within 50 feet of where I was standing. I nearly crapped my pants. Not kidding.

Duane was a madman with the laundry last night. I cleaned the kitchen and made dinner, but he is the ultimate cleaning force in the house, no question.

I'm off to browse wedding photogs. Ciao-

The air is astink with boredom

And pizza. I should have tackled the Domino pizza guy in the hall just now. But alas...

I'm in a panini craze as of late. Its an absolute shame that foods which pack on the pounds taste so freaking good.

Pink and brown (with some green accents) are the colors for the wedding. Yes. Until I change my mind.

Second day burritos taste the best.

Do you ever get into those phases of 'not looking good?' This entire week I have looked like TRASH. WTF?

Top Chef isn't filling the Project Runway void now in my life. America's Top Model is just starting, so there is hope. I'm sure Jade is going to cause some DRAMA...thank God. Nothing beats the antics of Andrae, I'm afraid.

Deb and Dan will be out soon! We're going to brunch at the Broadmoor when they get into town, and they shall tour the homestead promptly following. It will be good to see them soon.

All you gotta do is jump OVER the moon

That boy needs therapy!

Monday, and boy do I feel CRUSTY.

So I finally watched Harry Potter...the first 3 films this weekend, and it wasn't too bad. I am now officially a pagan. JAY KAAAAAY!

YOGURT SMOOTHIE. 3% juice.

Also saw the Libertine this weekend, as well. That was an awkward viewing experience...and that wasn't due to the content of the film. Try sitting in the back row with a seat that doesn't feel right, a big-headed dude in front of you blocking the view, and trying to eat a fragrant panini undetected.

Stylish Women's Clothing!

Freaking Ridiculous

So I have to pay my bank 15 bucks for a replacement credit card that was actually in the kitchen. I found it less than 5 minutes after I made the call to get another one. GREAT. I am spending 15 bucks for a card I can't even put anything on, as the balance hasn't been more than 100 bucks lower than the maximum for over a year.

I should have waited for Duane to call me back. My haste has cost me more money than I'd like to count.

I need a better job. This lifestyle is NOT working whatsoever.
